American Fitness Services - Fitness Equipment Repair and Service

We have been working with American Fitness at our resort and have nothing but positive experiences with their team. They are knowledgeable about the equipment and always are there to advise on what would work best for our population. Their preventative maintenance team, in particular, Zach, is on time, and gives a detailed report on what we need to do to ensure our equipment is safe for our guests. Great team!

Paid 10,000 for treadmill. Waited 2 months for delivery and they delivered it and its broken. Manager was supposed to call me but never did. They have no techs available to fix it. I have a useless treadmill sitting in my living room. Zero response from the AFS or Life Fitness. Super disappointed in the service.

I had the pleasure of working with Jonathan, a treadmill service technician from AFS, and I couldn't be more impressed. He provided excellent service from start to finish. Jonathan's dedication, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile were remarkable. He not only repaired my incorrectly assembled new treadmill flawlessly, but also took the time to answer all my questions. Initially was not a happy camper. The person who came out to assess my stationary bike misdiagnosed it ( initially paying $145 for the diagnostic review). Parts were ordered, he came out to install the bearings, only to find out there were other issues (more bearings) not initially found that still caused the same issue. So after spending over $400.00 my bike is in no better condition than before. I did not want to pay for additional parts and labor where buying a new one now makes more sense. If they would have been accurate from the beginning, I never would have gone through the whole process. ** Update** the owner of the business contacted me and offered me a compromise which I was extremely glad that they reached out to me. It appears they do care for their customers. So I am changing my rating from a one star to a 4 stars. Thank you.

I just needed to post this review. I recently purchased a treadmill and needed help with basic maintenance. The call for service was promptly answered, and an appointment set a few days out. They kept me informed with a reminder call, and the technician called as promised as he was on his way. It allowed me to easily schedule my work day. The technician, Charles, was on time, explained everything he was doing, completely professional. Repairs were quickly done. My treadmill was covered under a warranty. But, if I ever need assistance with any other equipment, I will be calling AFS.

Christian and Armando delivered a new treadmill to me. They were right on time, set everything up perfectly, provided and explained all the documentation and left my place spotless! And they were extremely polite young men.

I was referred to AFS by a friend of mine. Needed a treadmill disassembled and reassembled. From the initial phone conversation to the finished job every aspect of my experience was a customer service experience to the fullest. They communicate very well, they do an excellent job as far as workmanship and altogether they go above and beyond the call of duty. Johnny was the tech I worked with every time and he is truly remarkable. Great at what he does and his level of knowledge and very accommodating and ethical. I have used them 3 times in the last few weeks and I can honestly say I am a customer for life. If you are in the market for fitness equipment services, these guys are the best in the Valley.

Christian and his partner were prompt and professional in delivering and setting up out new Treadmill. They also disassembled and removed our old treadmill for recycling. I highly recommend their services.

Fixed my old Landice L7 treadmill. Had adjustments on potentiometers that were off. Best money I have spent in a while! Easy and good..

I started with Marcella who helped me locate replacement parts for my "discontinued" Precor treadmill. Once the parts arrived, Charles noted that perhaps the existing deck could be flipped, rather than using the new deck. He flipped the old deck but was not happy with resulting electrical readouts. He then removed the old deck and installed the new, with better electrical results. Charles called twice to let me know of his status, was personable and professional....and cleaned everything up nicely. I have dealt with several equipment repair firms in the Valley, and AFS is the best. Responsive, technically proficient, and priced reasonably.

Update to my previous review. I was contacted and they did everything to get my concerns addressed. My treadmill is fixed and works great! I really appreciated Marcella and Lance getting things taken care of! Previous revew: I called in late December, had a tech come out and let me know that I would need a new main board on my treadmill. I had to call a few days later to get the quote started, and again had to call back to show that I had approved that quote. I've emailed, and have had to call several times to check status of part ordered. Last call I made (almost a week ago) I was told the part was in and a tech would be calling me right back to schedule an appointment. Nothing!!! At this point I'm beyond frustrated. I understand shipping issues and weather problems. But its been over a month and I can't even get a phone call to update me.

Great service experience! Had issues with my treadmill being stuck in a decline. Everyone i dealt with was very friendly and professional, and I felt they were very honest and reasonably priced. Was also pleasantly surprised with the turnaround time. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Our experience with American Fitness Services was fantastic! They are contracted with Nordictrack/ICON and serviced our s22i spin bike. Every interaction was both professional and personable from scheduling to service. We were sent the wrong part and the tech identified it as incorrect immediately. After some additional complications on the second visit, he recommended another technician who came out quickly and took care of the problem. Our bike was down for a total of two months, but that was mostly due to waiting for parts. American Fitness Services scheduled promptly and explained what we needed to do to utilize our warranty. I waited to write a review to see if the repairs would hold up because I was skeptical (through no fault of AFS). I’m happy to say that over 150 miles later, the bike is working like new and I’m so thankful that AFS is always on call!

Charles came out to put together a used Weider Home Gym, that we had purchased. Even with my son who takes calculus and physics and my wife who mixes chemo and myself that has been in IT and Financial Services, we could not figure out how to make it happen. Charles had it up and running in less than an hour, from over 35 pieces in a heap!! He was knowledgeable, professional and expedient!!! Absolutely incredible experience and I would recommend Charles every day of the week and twice on Sundays!!! Thank you AFS for employing such an incredible individual!!!

From the very 1st phone call with Cherie I knew I was in good hands. Doug, my technician was amazing. I had an on going noise problem with my Nordic track elliptical that several visits from another service company couldn't fix. Doug isolated the problem and fixed it on the spot. So impressed!! Excellent customer service and level of professionalism all around.

Everything about the AFS repair service call was the best it could be. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful when I called, the technician, Chris Harty, called me to say that he was running a bit late and then arrived exactly when he promised. He replaced parts on our treadmill and - without being asked - lubricated the running belt. At all times, he was courteous and knowledgeable and hard-working. We highly recommend AFS.

Trying to get my treadmill repaired. Scheduled service, less than friendly repair tech told me what was wrong with my machine. Told me I would be contacted with a quote. Haven’t heard a thing back from them. Even called to inquire about my quote, was promised a call back. Nothing…. They basically took my 150 to tell me what was wrong with my machine. Not sure how they get 4.8 rating. My experience has been disappointing.

I could not have asked for a better experience. Irene was super helpful setting up my appointment and Lance was on time, professional and made quick work of identifying the problem with my treadmill and making the needed adjustments. Will definitely use this amazing team again in the future!

My NordicTrack $4,000.00 treadmill stopped working after having it for only 3 months and it was a nightmare trying to reach anyone at NordicTrack, getting help was even worse....When I finally got someone to address the problem, they said I would be getting a call from AFS as they were assigned to fix the treadmill once the parts were received. This was where my experience completely changed. AFS called me that same day (after business hours!) to let me know they were assigned to the repair and gave me further instructions, asked if I had any questions and spent time with me on the phone going over the process and expected timeline. I called them as instructed once I received the parts and the call was extremely pleasant - their customer service is top notch - and they got me on the schedule in under a week. The techs showed up today - ON TIME - again, extremely pleasant, polite and courteous. They had my treadmill back up and running in less than 30 min and explained what was wrong, and how it was fixed. I would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this company for any repairs you might need.

I was very impressed with this company from the first phone call. They were contracted by NordicTrack to complete some warranty work on my rower and instead of me having to call them, they reached out to me and followed my repair parts from shipping to delivery. They then made a huge effort to get it fixed before the holidays since NordicTrack had me waiting so long for parts (a month). From the first phone call with their scheduler, to Charles, the technician, I was very impressed and will use them for any of my fitness equipment issues in the future.
