I can't say enough good things about David and colleagues at Fitness Warehouse Direct. They've been my most trusted partner as I've built out my niche personal training studio over the past 6 years. Thanks to them I've been able to acquire some truly world class machines. Used exercise equipment offers incredible value. The problem is that there are a lot of charlatans in this space! With some dealers -- perhaps most dealers -- you never really know what you're going to get. The reason David and company have been in business so long, in my opinion, is that they actually take care of their customers. They want you to come back. For example, all of their machines come with a warranty. Do they back it up? Hell yeah -- they came out to my studio many months after I bought a leg press to smooth out a squeaky wheel. Not exactly an existential issue, but a big deal to me nonetheless. I doubt I could have gotten that kind of service if I'd bought a new machine from the manufacturer! When you consider that David's prices include delivery, a legit warranty, and that they consistently have a large inventory to choose from, FWD is probably the first place you should look on the used market.

Dave and his team are the real deal. He supplied us with high-quality Life Fitness treadmills that have been running strong for 4 years, fixed our 10G StairMaster, provided a new jungle gym at a great price, and even helped move our entire commercial gym. Reliable, affordable, and professional—5 stars.

This company stole $8500 from my business, tried playing the blame game towards an employee of theirs. They ended up selling the equipment I purchased and instead of helping find new equipment or giving me information on their employee so I could file a proper police report they just said “that’s how we do business”. Making the whole employee story seem like a lie to just get me off their backs. Brett, Dylan and David, each with a different story although they’re siblings. I’ve talked to a few other gyms who’ve also had issues too. The easiest solution they honestly could’ve done was help me find a new set, I made it clear as day but instead I just dealt with unprofessional behavior and stolen money.

A few years ago I bought a 900-lb leg press machine that couldn’t fit through my doors. I called every number I could find, stuck outside with no idea what to do. Dave showed up within an hour, moved the machine by himself, and charged a very fair price. Since then, I’ve opened a second gym and Dave has supplied our treadmills and other equipment, helped us move, and even set us up for an off-site decathlon. My first experience buying equipment from another company was a nightmare—overpriced junk and no support. That made me very cautious. Working with Fitness Warehouse Direct has been the complete opposite: fast, reliable, honest, and always looking out for you. Dave and his team, including his son, have even come out to fix equipment for us. I now own several companies, and Dave is our sole provider for gym equipment. My clients also go through him because they trust him. Relationships are everything in business, and this is one of the few I know I can rely on. Our experience with Fitness Warehouse Direct has been remarkable, especially after the transition from a franchise gym to our privately owned gym post-COVID shutdown. With 17 years of franchise ownership under my belt, I initially found the process of selecting the right equipment overwhelming and expensive. From our first visit to the warehouse, it was clear that Dave was a tremendous asset. He guided my staff and me through our options with incredible patience and expertise. We quickly realized we could trust his recommendations, which reduced our need for multiple trips and helped us avoid unnecessary purchases. RGym is a small ADA-compliant facility, it's essential to maximize our space with the right equipment. I often make decisions based solely on the photos Dave shares. His deep industry knowledge and connections enable him to find almost anything we need. Every piece of equipment comes with a warranty, and he provides outstanding support throughout the warranty period and beyond. Whenever I have concerns about compatibility or budget, Dave is quick to reassure me. He stands behind his recommendations, even willing to take back equipment if it doesn't meet our needs—though we’ve never had to do that! Absolutely terrible experience with Fitness Warehouse Direct in Hayward. Our all-women’s private gym was scammed out of thousands of dollars, and instead of taking responsibility, the family behind this business has been completely untrustworthy. They have not made any effort to resolve the issue or make things right. When we pressed for answers, Brett (the younger brother of Dave/David) became hostile, trying to shift the blame onto an employee who supposedly ran off with the money. Even if that story were true, a legitimate business would handle it properly and work with insurance, not leave their customer with nothing. This is not how an honest company operates. They took our money and tried to run off as if nothing happened. Be very careful before doing business with them, my experience shows they are not to be trusted.

Dave is the real deal! If he can’t help you he will find a way to get the right person to help you. He has a vast network of gym owners and movers to make it happen. He has helped me out in times of need and I don’t it for granted. He has real commercial equipment that lasts too , not the Costco crap. Hit him up first before anyone! The others get it from him and try to re sell it anyway.

Fitness Warehouse Direct are honest and genuinely good people. They go above and beyond for their customers 100% of the time, and it shows in the way they do business. Couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Highly recommended. For a little more than the new price of the consumer elliptical I'd been eyeing, I was able to buy a used commercial model (Life Fitness 95X Inspire) that is newer and better than the ones that are in my currently closed gym. I was concerned that anywhere I'd go to buy used fitness equipment might be like the used car buying experience, but that was not the case at all here. Dave was friendly and helpful, and I never felt like he was trying to pressure me to buy anything or spend extra money. When I asked if this machine had TV built in, he said he could just add a TV attachment on for free. When I said I was hoping to find a cheaper model, he got on the phone right away to try and find a source for one. I ended up buying the first model I looked at anyway. Delivery was free to my location, and I imagine that if you are further away or have lots of stairs, any delivery fee (if there is one) would be very reasonable. They were accommodating in making the delivery fit in to my constantly changing schedule, not to mention originally setting up a time to visit the warehouse to check out the machines.

I needed a Treadmill with a speed up to 16 mph and did not want to pay $5,000 to $10,000 for a new one. Fitness Warehouse had a refurbished Precor 956i that I purchased from them at a fraction of the cost of new. They gave me a 6-month warrantee at no extra cost. Ray was awesome to work with, answering all my questions in a very friendly manner, and always within a short period of time. Since this treadmill is a commercial machine, meant for gyms, and weighs 500 lbs. it was a big challenge to get it up the stairs and down a somewhat narrow hallway into the bedroom where I wanted it. They did not shrink from the challenge, as did another company I was considering at about the same price for the same model treadmill. In fact, the owners of Fitness Warehouse, Dave and Dylan, came out to the house with Ray and one other employee and had it installed and running in about an hour. The installation price was very reasonable considering the challenge of my stairwell, and hallway, and the 30 minute drive from their warehouse. They were extremely careful and cautious in the way they carried it through my house and performed the installation. I highly recommend this company, the owners, and employees. Their prices are very competitive, and their service is impeccable.

Dave is great. I needed my treadmill moved from a 4th floor building (with elevators) that to be dissembled to be moved. My regular movers couldn’t do it, but Dave did it in under an hour. They really know what they’re doing.

Gym closed.. had to go buy an elliptical for home. I wanted to get a commercial kind just like the one at my gym. So PRECOR was the brand I was after. Looked at a NEW Precor elliptical, was shocked over how much they were. So decided to look for a Preowned Precor. Finally found this local warehouse that has a HUGE selection of commercial gym equipment of every kind.. all preowned / refurbished. Visited the warehouse in person and was impressed with the selection and the reasonable prices they were asking for the equipment. The equipment was refurbished, looked good, felt good, ran smoothly. Delivery to my place was free. Guaranteed for 1 year. The owner and a couple guys delivered my PRECOR elliptical promptly at the arranged time. They hauled the heavy duty equipment to my "yard gym". Had one technician visit to fix the "squeek" that I was hearing. Again, on time, friendly and efficient technician fixed the squeek.. which in retrospect I could have done myself had I know what the issue was. At any rate.. if ever I need another gym anything.. I will certainly go to FITNESS WAREHOUSE DIRECT. Good people, good equipment, great selection, good prices, good service, reliable honest business. Thanks guys !!!!

You want to buy sports exercise machines from these guys--Fitness Warehous Direct--Dave and Dylan. I bought a Precor exercise bike for my swimmer friend who broke her wrist and elbow and needs to exercise. She is thrilled! I did the whole transaction via email & cell. They delivered to my friend a Precor next day that looks & works like new for a very reasonable $.
