Cynthia was wonderful. She came to my place three times to fix my bike. I followed her advice each time and she didn't lead me astray. She even told me to just buy a new bike rather than order multiple parts and pay her for another visit. I greatly valued her honest opinion and she cares about the customer's best interest.

I had been experiencing problems with my treadmill so I conducted a random search and came across Rough & Ready repairs. Cynthia was AMAZING. She presented diagnostic questions over the phone and I was able to get my treadmill working without a service call (probably due to user error). She even went above and beyond and emailed information to me on how I can properly care for and maintain my machine. I was so impressed by her professionalism and her willingness to assist. This is a great and HONEST technician. Thank you for your assistance.

Cynthia was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to diagnose my treadmill issues over the phone and help me figure out that it was likely better to get a new treadmill instead of paying her to come out. She recommended a treadmill lubricant for me to try and even offered to help recommend a treadmill that would be a good replacement. I highly recommend her services.

I found Rough & Ready Repairs after buying a treadmill on Craigslist that stopped working during my first workout. Cynthia has gone above and beyond helping me navigate whether or not the machine is worth fixing over the phone. She walked me through assessing the condition of the machine and gave very honest advise. She left it up to me whether or not to have her come and look at it and potentially put money into repairing it without putting any pressure on me one way or the other and, after some time thinking about it, I decided I was more comfortable with something that had a warrantee. Two weeks later I texted her to see if she would be able to help me with the assembly of a new elliptical. She explained that she could do it or that I could pay for the assembly service through the company. I still was unsure which machine I wanted to buy so I asked her advise and she very generously offered very comprehensive advise over the course of a couple of days and into the evening last night! I told her the specifics of what I was looking for in terms of price-range, bells and whistles vs durability, weight capacity, how much we plan on using it, ceiling clearance and more and she helped me navigate all of it! I've decided on a machine and feel so much more confident in the purchase having had the benefit Cynthia's expertise! She is a diamond in the "rough" and she is not only "ready" to make repairs, but also to provide absolutely stellar, honest, down-to-earth, BS-free customer service!

Cynthia is great and extremely knowledgeable. I described the issue with my recumbent bike and she directed me to the part numbers to order. She fixed the problem and was very patient in struggling with a difficult screw (made in China...). Cynthia is very clear in her communications about cost and trade offs (repair vs. buy new one). I wish everyone were like her in the service industry.

Cynthia was so helpful in helping diagnose the problem on my elliptical. She was really responsive in scheduling a time slot for me and helping troubleshoot some potential issues (even during SIP and over the holidays!) Highly recommended. Thanks again Cynthia!

This is the absolute best repair company you could hope to find for your exercise equipment! Bought a bad treadmill off of craigslist. I called up Rough & Ready and they went through with me, over the phone about a dozen tests and things I could try to not only diagnose the issue but repair it myself. They knew exactly which products I needed and voila, the treadmill works like a charm and it didn't even cost me the $600+ all of the other places were asking. I've since recommended her to a friend who needed help with an elliptical and he also had a great experience. If in need, reach out! P.S. I had an easier time getting ahold of Cynthia by contacting via the cell number in the voicemail recording.

I have an old Schwinn Airdyne excercise bike. It has been in need of repair for months. I went online to find someone who would make a house call in the Bay area. I found Rough and Ready Repairs. I called and received a call back that afternoon, wow, so far, so good. Our first appointment, Cynthia diagnosed the problem, took notes and told me that a part needed to be ordered. I had also lost some bolts, trying to take it apart myself. She said she had some hanging around her shop, no problem. A few days later when she received the part, she called to make the fix-it appointment. Today, not even a week later, she arrived on time, fixed the bike with the new part, tweaked and adjusted all parts, had me sit on and adjusted the seat, and showed me how to maintain my bike. She is passionate about what she does, very knowledgeable, courteous, and respectful of my house. I was thrilled to find her and would recommend her to anyone.

Cynthia is professional, skilled and experienced, 38 years in the business. She will also advise you well in how to proceed with your equipment, meaning is not out to just make a buck but to help her clients. I highly recommend.

I recommend her services very highly. I had some problems with my treadmill, and although she was too busy to visit right away, she talked me through some potential solutions on the phone, which turned out to work. I would happily turn to her again.

she charged me for a diagnosis of my elliptical, and then never answered my calls or emails after that and never came back to do the repair. I am stuck hiring someone else to diagnose and repair. She wouldn't even tell me what the problem was, so I couldn't tell the next repair person.

This is the person to call. She took the time to help me out over face time . She told me what was wrong. Bingo and she was right. My treadmill is back up and running. You can’t go working calling Rough & Ready repair.
