If 10 stars were available , I'd give them to ConnectFit! Norm was wonderful. I'd dreaded starting to look for a recumbent bike (needed for my arthritic knees) and thought it would involve a long process of visiting multiple stores. Instead, I found Norm and his incredibly knowledgeable and helpful support. He answered all my many questions and helped me figure out what I needed. After trying out a floor model, I decided I didn't need to continue the search. I purchased the bike and am now enthusiastically awaiting its delivery. A bonus it that I don't need to look for someone to take my old treadmill. ConnectFit will take and recycle it. I can't say enough positive things about this company!

I had a fantastic experience with ConnectFit. I’m a runner, but I was looking for a machine that would allow me to cross-train, as age-related, running-related, and childbirth-related injuries have all taken their toll. I chose ConnectFit because I wanted equipment that was a step up from what you typically find online or at big-box retailers like Dick’s. I also wanted to shop somewhere that had knowledgeable experts who could help me choose the right machine and provide service afterward. Norm, the owner, took all of my wants and needs into consideration and recommended two machines. The showroom was full of equipment, and left to my own devices, I would have been completely overwhelmed. Norm explained how each of the two machines met my criteria and, importantly, how each would work with my body mechanics. I decided to wait a week before making a purchase. The couple of follow-up emails I received from ConnectFit during that time were genuinely helpful and solititious. I never felt pressured to buy. When I was ready, their online invoicing process was quick and easy. The particular machine I chose had a few weeks’ wait time, but Norm and his team were clear about when to expect it. They followed up a week before delivery and again the day before. Our assigned delivery window overlapped with other family plans, and rather than making us reschedule, Jenn was able to re-orchestrate the delivery so that the machine arrived and was installed an hour before we had to leave. They removed our old machine and installed the new one in less 45 minutes. They even had an extra treadmill mat on hand just in case, which we ended up needing--it was dirtier under the old machine than I had expected! I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience with ConnectFit. From helping me choose the right equipment to the communication, delivery, and installation, the entire process was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely pleasant. In fact, my husband is already planning to go back for some equipment of his own.

Highly recommend Connect Fit. Mostly for the customer service I received from the sales professional Joe. He was patient, kind and very knowledgeable. As a new business owner trust is important when making purchases. I knew I could trust Joe! 👍🏻

UPDATE FOLLOWING THE OWNER’S RESPONSE: The purchase was made under my husband’s name, not mine. ConnectFit corresponded extensively with both of us throughout this experience, including emails addressed directly to “Josh & Alan,” so the company knows exactly which transaction this review describes. Its inability to find my name in its sales database does not address—or disprove—any of the facts detailed above. —— Our experience with ConnectFit and its owner, Norman Morrison, has been extraordinarily frustrating. We ordered and paid for a True ES950 treadmill during a Memorial Day sale in 2023. We were told it would arrive within a few weeks. Then a few weeks became a few more weeks, with Norman repeatedly assuring us it was coming. ConnectFit strung us along from May until November, when a treadmill finally arrived nearly six months after we ordered it. By then, I had become suspicious enough to ask explicitly whether the treadmill being delivered was brand-new and straight out of the box. Norman told me it was. It wasn’t. ConnectFit delivered a showroom floor model. The floor model had a stripped bolt, which meant the installers couldn’t take it apart and reconstruct it in our home gym. ConnectFit had to take it back to the shop to remove the bolt, then return it to us. We later learned that the new treadmill model we had ordered was no longer being manufactured. Norman then characterized the used floor model as a “loaner” and promised to replace it with a new Landice L8 with an Elite screen. On November 1, 2023, Norman wrote that the Landice should take “no more than 4 weeks.” On November 9, he said everything was “going according to plan.” The replacement never arrived. After repeated follow-ups, Norman supplied another estimate on February 1, 2024, saying the Landice should arrive around the middle of that month. It didn’t. We continued asking for basic information—a delivery date, tracking number or even a direct contact—but received no concrete answers. On June 25, nearly eight months after the four-week promise, Norman informed us that ConnectFit had entered Chapter 11 almost two months earlier, on April 30. He apologized for the lack of communication and said the company still intended to fulfill our order. In August, he acknowledged that they had not yet reached our order and promised to keep updating us. That was the last meaningful communication we received. As of August 2026, we have received neither the new Landice treadmill we were promised nor a refund. This was not simply an unavoidable delay caused by bankruptcy. ConnectFit had already spent six months stringing us along, represented a showroom model as brand-new and failed to fulfill its replacement promise well before filing for Chapter 11. Based on everything we experienced, I consider the way Norman Morrison and ConnectFit conducted this transaction shifty and dishonest. I would not trust this business with another purchase and cannot recommend that anyone else do so.

I have worked with them and they have helped keep me healthy for decades. There is nobody else I would trust for this. Their service, their specialization, and the way they handle everything in-house means that they provide an experience above normal retail stores.

My wife and I met with Joe and Norm and they have a extremely detailed walkthrough on the different options for a treadmill for our home. They were extremely helpful and the whole process was smooth. In addition their delivery service was professional and quick and they were extremely knowledgeable and responsive! Overall a great experience and we enjoyed how transparent they were on the treadmill options and cost!

Excellent selection of quality equipment with friendly and knowledgeable staff

I’ve been searching for a high-quality treadmill for a while, and even though I wasn’t in his service area, Norm at ConnectFit went out of his way to help me online. He answered all of my questions with thoughtful, detailed responses and genuinely seemed invested in helping me find the right fit—despite knowing he wouldn’t be making the sale. His online presence is also a huge plus. His blog posts on treadmills and other fitness equipment are incredibly helpful and clearly written by someone who knows the industry inside and out. I happened to be in his area this week, so I stopped by the store to meet him and try out some treadmills in person. He was exactly the same as he was online—friendly, knowledgeable, and generous with his time. He walked me through different models without any pressure and made the whole experience easy and informative. What stood out most was that he even encouraged me to reach back out if I couldn’t find what I needed locally. That kind of customer-first mindset is rare. Highly recommend ConnectFit if you’re looking for honest advice and top-notch service.

Norm was very helpful and knowledgeable in helping us choose our treadmill. He let us try the display models out at our leisure and we spent probably half an afternoon there. The delivery/install team was terrific about accommodating our schedule, and were very clean, friendly, and professional. We had a very tricky basement entrance to navigate, especially after a big snow storm, but they figured it out. They were also knowledgeable regarding getting our streaming apps set up on the device. Overall, we are happy with the product we selected and their service so we would highly recommend ConnectFit!

Purchased a Universal Trainer this past December. Norman and his associate Benley were super knowledgeable, easy to work with and offered the Black Friday discount to me well beyond the expiration. Communication with delivery and set up was very clear and accurate. The workers did an excellent job setting up the machine and I’ve been enjoying my home gym everyday. ConnectFit in Newton is wonderful in every way!! Norman and Joe couldn't be more helpful and knowledgeable. My husband and I bought our first treadmill from Norman 15 years ago. A few years ago we bought a recumbent. And just this year it was finally time for a new treadmill. Norman is terrific and he took great care of us as he showed us and explained the different treadmill models to us. We settled on one and it was delivered a few weeks later. Norman's showroom is beautiful and clean and we enjoyed our visit. Our new treadmill works beautifully and the latest model pairs with our phones so were able to watch TV while we're working out. We highly recommend ConnectFit, Norman and Joe for all your fitness needs. They are fantastic to work with!!

Recently, we bought a Spirit treadmill from Norm. We enjoyed talking with him, getting to know about different machines and what would be the best fit for us. The men who assembled the machine (and took away and old elliptical) were great! They were prompt, courteous, and worked quickly. We would highly recommend ConnectFit Fitness equipment.

Wonderful experience today with Norm the manager. I was on the market for a treadmill to replace one I previously purchased from Norm over 20 years ago (another showroom). I was impressed with his knowledge and advice back then so I purchased other equipment as well for my home gym around the same time. I visited his showroom today and was so pleased to find the level of high quality carefully chosen equipment with a great selection. Norm is a professional. He listened to my needs and gave me his expert advice and selections with no pressure. I was able to try treadmills out and immediately felt comfortable with the quality and choices he suggested. He knew the technical aspects and build quality of everything I questioned him about and I am pretty technical! I was so happy he operates with the same level of honesty and integrity I remembered from 20 years ago. His pricing is great and they have their own service and delivery people which really matters to me. Truly a great experience and such a refreshing change from national corporations. Norm made me feel comfortable and appreciated as a customer.

We just bought a treadmill for home use. My husband has the dual challenge of being totally blind and also very tall. Norm took a great deal of time in understanding his needs, our space and what we needed. He did not simply choose the most expensive option he truly offered the best solution including medical rails that really help. I recently visited ConnectFit and I was impressed by the outstanding customer service. I was greeted by Ben and he offered to help with any questions I had. I had just come from a competitor up the street where I walked all around the store and they never acknowledged me the entire time I was there. By contrast, Ben at ConnectFit was attentive and patient. The store itself is well-organized and has a great selection of equipment. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured to make a purchase, and they really made the entire shopping experience enjoyable. It's clear they care about their customers and are experts in the industry. Purchased the True Performance 8000 a few months ago from ConnectFit (Norman). This is a replacement of my 20 year old True Treadmill. The new treadmill is fantastic. Stable, solid in every way, quiet, easy to use. It does exactly what it should and it does it better than other treadmills at this price point. Add to that a 10 year warranty on everything and I know I'm getting a great product with a great track record. Norman and ConnectFit are fitness experts. They sell great products from great companies. Highly recommed ConnectFit and True Treadmills!

I called Connect Fit to ask if they shipped out of state, and Norman informed me that they did not. Despite knowing he wouldn't make a sale, he generously spent 20 minutes of his time helping me narrow down the best treadmill for my needs. He explained that he simply enjoys helping people, which stood out to me enough to write him a review.

We had great service starting from the moment we walked in the door, selecting the right treadmill for us, updating the deliver, and with the removal of the old treadmill and installation of the new one. James and his delivery team were excellent despite the cold mix of rain/snow/mud.

I visited ConnectFit with some idea of what I wanted in a treadmill, but after talking with Norman, I had a much better understanding of what was available and which models would best meet my needs. Norm and his associate focused on what I wanted and didn't try to upsell anything unnecessary. I was particularly pleased with Norm's ability to accurately estimate clearance height when determining if my running on the incline would be too high for my basement's low ceiling. He is clearly experienced in dealing with potential complications like my low ceiling and identifying the products that should work in such an environment.

This is an amazing place! We bought a treadmill from Norm Morrison years ago that lasted fifteen years (without a drop of maintenance!) There was nowhere else to turn when we decided to transition to an elliptical (quieter, easier on the joints). We were delighted to find that Norm and Jenn (Morrison) were still the ideal salespeople to handle our most recent summer purchase. I received excellent and informative customer service in the showroom from Norm who helped me pick the right piece of equipment that would meet my needs (size of room, medical limitations, exercise goals) within my available budget. There are no slick car salesman-like gimmicks, just someone passionate about their products who want to sell you something you'll be happy with. As a therapist myself, I see BS a mile away and i didn't get any of that at this store. The service delivery was impeccable. The staff were polite, friendly, knowledgeable and careful. They took the time to make sure I was happy with the setup of equipment in my space and willing to take the time to arrange it in different directions to ensure I was happy.
